You are listed as serving the citizens of St. Joseph County, Indiana for another term through elected office. By taking this examination you will publicly declare your understanding of the U.S. Constitution and your commitment to the Oath you have already taken and may take again. Upon completion, and depending on results, the voters of St. Joseph County will be grateful and confident when voting for you if they so choose.

This examination is to be used by all individuals who have attained to public office within the United States of America to indicate both an understanding of their duties as declared by their oath of office and an understanding of how the office they hold is related to that oath. Completion of Section 1 may in the future mandatory by law in order to remain in office. Completion of Section 2 is optional. All information you provide will be available for all citizens of the USA to see. This is not a pass/fail test. Results will be graded.

SECTION 1 - EXAMINATION

You are a candidate for office in the United States of America who must swear a legally binding oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution [5 U.S. Code 3331] in the event you are elected. You are thereby obligated to declare a basic understanding of the oath and office you wish to hold in the interest of the people whom you would serve. Give answer, therefore, to the following questions. The quality and number of your responses will effect your credentials and grade level. They will also be visible to the public while open for any changes you want to make. If replying in writing please respond using separate pages as needed.
